Still, they are missing a hint of blur on the edges of pixels and the soft blurring of colors (very visible for gradients). Replica consoles like the Analouge Super Nt does a half-decent job of recreating the looks, by allowing non-square pixels and scanline effects. These old games usually just get options like scaling with Gaussian blur or nearest-neighbor filtering, neither are anywhere close to reproducing how the games would look on a CRT. I hope they at least add some decent scaling options.
